An Egyptian pipeline, which transports gas to Israel and Jordan, was attacked on Sunday.

The blast struck in the Massaeed area west of of al-Arish, in north Sinai peninsula.

This was at least the 12th attack on the pipeline since the end of the Mubarak regime last year.

Israel imports 43 % of its natural gas needs from Egypt, while Jordan imports 80 %.
