Peru Feb LNG Exports Slightly Up

LNG exports from Peru’s only export terminal rose slightly in February to 307,579 mt from 304,506 mt a year earlier, according to PeruPetro S.A.

Peru LNG shipped four cargoes in February, three went to Japan and one for Spain.

Peru’s LNG exports fell 19.9 percent in January to 293,636 mt from 366,545 mt a year before.

The Peru LNG project includes two parts: an LNG plant with a marine terminal from which LNG is sent overseas, and a pipeline connected to the existing TgP pipeline to transport natural gas from the connection point in the mountains of Ayacucho to the LNG Plant located on the coast.
