China Investment Corporation (CIC) and Government of Singapore Investment Corp (CIG) provided Cheniere Energy Partners with $500 million each for the company’s planned LNG export plant, reported Reuters, citing a source familiar with the matter.
Cheniere has been looking for funds to start the construction.
Also, the Blackstone Group, one of the early Cheniere’s investors agreed to invest $2 billion into the company in February.
