Algeria gets new LNG plant
Algeria’s Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal has on Monday opened a new LNG plant in the industrial zone of Arzew.
Sonatrach has invested about $4 billion in the liquefaction plant, according to a report by Algerie Presse Service
The plant has a production capacity of 4.7 million tonnes per year and replaces the LNG unit that closed in 2010 after 46 years of activity .
