Norwegian LNG transportation provider Awilco said it has secured a new charter deal for its 2013-built tanker WilPride.

The company said that the TDFE liquefied natural gas carrier capable of transporting up to 156,000 cubic meters of LNG has been committed on an 8-month time charter deal to an oil and gas major.

The contract is expected to commence in early July 2019 contingent upon customary vessel inspection and acceptance by the charterer.

Awilco expects the vessel to bring in an annualized EBITDA of around $23 million during the period.

The charter deal comes days after the company informed that WilPride’s sister vessel, the WilForce was struck by another vessel off Singapore.
