Bechtel’s survey technology wins award

Bechtel’s innovative use of the latest survey technology has gained international recognition, being awarded the “Contributing to Shaping Change” award in Las Vegas.

Bechtel’s survey team working on the Santos GLNG project on Curtis Island were tasked with the job of positioning pre-fabricated modules – some weighing up to 2,500 tonnes, 44 metres long and 31 metres wide – to within a 1mm variance,” Bechtel said.

Bechtel is currently working on three LNG projects on Curtis Island in Australia, namely the Santos GLNG, APLNG and QCLNG project.
