Black & Veatch wins LNG plant job in China

LNG engineer Black & Veatch, together with Chemtex, won the contract for the construction of the Shanxi Qixian liquefied natural gas project in China.

The Black & Veatch-Chemtex team will provide the technology package, basic engineering design package (BEDP), critical equipment supply and related services for the 1 million cubic meters per day LNG plant, the company said in a statement on Monday.

The facility, being built for Shanxi Natural Gas Company is scheduled for completion in 2017.

LNG plant will be based on Black & Veatch’s Prico technology, that uses single-mixed refrigerant loop for natural gas liquefaction and has been modified for the project.
