Braemar Engineering names new managing director

Braemar Shipping Services Group informed that its unit Braemar Engineering appointed its executive vice president, Sheila McClain as its new managing director.

According to the company’s statement, McClain will be based in Houston and assume her management responsibility for global operations with effect from June 8.

She will focus on developing the company’s marine offshore and land-based LNG projects, dynamic positioning and engineering consultancy.

McClain replaces Geoff Green, who has held the managing director for the past 15 years.

Green will remain at the company as chairman and non-executive member of the board and serve as a senior technical advisor on Braemar Engineering’s ongoing projects such as the FSP LNG containment system that is entering the construction phase.
