Clean Energy Fuels, one of the largest providers of natural gas fuel for transportation in North America, posted a rise in its second-quarter earnings on the back of higher fuel deliveries.

The California-based company reported a $1.5 million profit during the period in review compared to a $30 million loss in the corresponding quarter a year ago.

Clean Energy’s revenue was at $108 million, a 24 percent increase from $86.9 million for the first quarter of 2015.

The company’s total gallons delivered, including compressed natural gas, liquefied natural gas and renewable natural gas reached 82.9 million, an 11 percent increase compared to the same quarter in 2015.

Clean Energy delivered 18.4 million gallons of LNG in the second quarter, up from the 17.6 million delivered in the second quarter last year.
