CNOOC Gas & Power has recently completed maintenance works at its Tianjin liquefied natural gas import terminal.

The maintenance was completed during a four-day period before the gas flows to the national transmission network resumed on April 27, the company said in a statement.

Terminal operator said it has completed over 40 checks during the maintenance shutdown ‘improving the health of its equipment, following a busy winter period.

According to the company, a sub-station ball valve replacement has been completed, including various machinery, instruments and electrical components overhauls. Leak points at the high-pressure compressor were welded while work has also been carried out on the pipeline.

CNOOC noted that it was also the first time the maintenance at the Tianjin LNG has been completed independently.
