Croatian LNG project receives seven equity interest bids

LNG Hrvatska, the company established to build and operate the first Croatian liquefied natural gas terminal on the island of Krk concluded the public call for investment in the project.

According to the company’s recent statement, a total of seven offers from investors have ben received, out of which four offers were from industrial and three offers from financial investors.

No names have yet ben revealed, but LNG Hrvatska claims investors are world renowned companies and funds from the gas industry.

The terminal, valued at €600 million has been declared a strategic investment project by the Croatian government, and the construction is expected to start in mid-2016. Construction works are predicted to be completed within a three-year period.
