Cubisa, Gas Natural Castilla-La Mancha sign LNG plant agreement
The Mayor of Cobisa (Toledo), Emilio Muñoz Cutillas, and the Managing Director of Gas Natural Castilla-La Mancha, Begoña Méndez, signed an agreement to allow for the temporary use of a plot of land in the town, measuring 1,600 metres, for the installation of a satellite Liquefied Natural Gas Plant (LNG) that the company plans to build in order to speed up the arrival of natural gas to this town of more than 4,100 inhabitants.
The Cobisa gasification project was presented by the Local Council and Gas Natural Castilla-La Mancha at an event in June attended by a significant representation of local residents who received first-hand information about the gasification plans being implemented by the gas company – in collaboration with the council – in the town.
Between the construction of the LNG and the gas distribution network of 11.1 kilometres, Gas Natural Castilla-La Mancha (a subsidiary of GAS NATURAL FENOSA) plans to invest one million euros in this project that will enable more than 900 homes, business and industries in Cobisa to enjoy this energy within a few months.
