The Dutch companies Veka Group, Deen Shipping and IUVENIS said they joined forces with a commodity, trading & logistics company, Count, started by Peter Goedvolk.
With this cooperation an important next step is made in the field of trade, transport and bunkering of small scale LNG in North West Europe, the companies said in a statement.
Previously Veka Group and Deen Shipping launched their company LNG Bunkering Services and revealed the build of their first LNG bunker vessel LNG Prime.
The LNG Prime is 90 meters long and has a loading capacity of 1.000 tons of LNG. The vessel will be active in the ARA-region bunkering seagoing vessels as of the beginning of 2016.
Gerard Deen of Deen Shipping stressed that trade is a new activity added to LNG Bunkering Services company that is taking a step forward in developing the LNG small scale market in the ARA-region.
LNG Prime is an inland vessel capable of sailing 100% on its own boil-off. Veka Group’s Peter Versluis said the company designed the vessels special cargo tanks.
