Egypt launches single LNG cargo tender

Egypt is reportedly looking for a single cargo of liquefied natural gas for October delivery.

Sources told Reuters that the cargo is to be delivered on October 10.

Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company has recently invited LNG trading companies to a technical workshop which is linked to the country’s second major LNG supply tender.

Under the second tender, Egypt is looking for 45 cargoes of LNG to be delivered in 2015 and 2016 to the new FRSU, the BW Singapore that is scheduled to be delivered to Ain Sokhna port by end September with operations scheduled to begin in October.

The FSRU with a storage capacity in excess of 170,000 cbm and peak regasification capacity of 750 mmscfd will be supplied by the Singapore-based BW.
