French LNG containment specialist GTT said Tuesday it has secured a new order for the tank design of a 174,000-cbm liquefied natural gas carrier to be built on behalf of a European shipowner.

GTT said it received the order from a South Korean shipyard.

The LNG tanks of the vessel will be equipped with the Mark III Flex containment system.

The vessel’s delivery is expected during the second half of 2020, according to GTT.

GTT added that the names of the contracting parties of the project could not be disclosed due to confidentiality reasons.
