French LNG containment tank specialist, GTT said Wednesday it secured a new order from South Korea’s Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) for the tank design of a 174,000-cbm LNG carrier.

The LNG carrier is being built for a European shipowner.

The delivery of the vessel is planned for the third quarter of 2020, according to a GTT statement.

GTT’s membrane containment system Mark III Flex has been selected for the design of the LNG tanks.
