Gov. Parnell: DOE’s authorization of Alaska LNG exports is a historic step

Gov. Parnell welcomes DOE's authorization of Alaska LNG exports

Governor Sean Parnell lauded the Department of Energy for authorizing the Alaska LNG project to export gas to Free Trade Agreement Nations.

In addition to exporting gas, the Alaska LNG project will make gas available to Alaskans through off-take points in Alaska.

“This is another historic step in a project that will create thousands of Alaska jobs and fuel our homes and businesses,” Parnell said. “I am very proud of the work that has been done by the administration and the Alaska Legislature, advancing the Alaska LNG project further than any other time in our state’s history.”
