India, Thailand looking for LNG cargoes through tenders

Two tenders to buy LNG have been issued by state-owned companies in India and Thailand. 

According to sources, Gail of India issued a tender for six cargoes for the delivery in 2015 and 2016. As Platts reports, two cargoes shall be delivered in the period from May to December 2015, and four in the period from January to October 2016. The tender is scheduled to close on February 18.

PTT of Thailand closed its LNG buy tender for delivery through 2015, sources say, revealing that the tender is yet to be awarded. The company issued the tender in order to meet its growing demand for the year estimated at more than 500,000 mt.
