Iran Denies Reports on Increasing Gas Imports from Turkmenistan

The National Iranian Gas Company has denied reports by domestic media that it has requested additional natural gas imports from Turkmenistan.

NIGC spokesman Majid Boujarzadeh said that there is no gas shortage in the country and gas supply to all provinces is normally underway.

According to the report of the public relations of the NIGC, he stated that Iran has put in a request for increasing imports of natural gas from Turkmenistan up to 45 million cubic meters per day.
