Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said Iran is ready to transfer its experience in oil and gas sectors to its northern neighbor.
In a meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland, Rouhani stated that Iran and Azerbaijan share numerous affinities, which explains why Azerbaijan’s progress is very important for Iran.
Rouhani says Iran is ready to forge closer energy ties with Azerbaijan and transfer its expertise in oil, gas and petrochemical sector to its northern neighbor, Iran’s SHANA news agency reported.
Aliyev, for his part, termed the cultural, religious and social commonalities between Iran and Azerbaijan as a strong point in the expansion of Tehran-Baku relations.
