Iraq: Several Iranians Killed in Gas Pipeline Attack

Masked gunmen killed 18 people and injured six others working on a gas pipeline outside the Iraqi town of Muqdadiya on Friday, according to several media reports.

Fifteen of the those killed were Iranians and three were Iraqis, the reports said. The workers were laying the foundation for a gas pipeline which is set to connect Iraq with Iran, Al Jazeera reported.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
