Israel: Leviathan Field Recognized as Discovery

Delek Group’s gas subsidiaries said that the Petroleum Commissioner of the Ministry of National Infrastructure, Energy and Water of Israel, has advised the partners in the 349/Rachel and 350/Amit licenses that the Leviathan gas field is a discovery as defined by the Israel’s Petroleum Law.

The Leviathan gas field holds about 18 trillion cubic feet of natural gas and the development of the field includes both LNG and pipeline scenarios, as well as a potential domestic development solution.

Noble Energy owns 39.66% of Leviathan, Delek Group units Avner Oil and Gas and Delek Drilling each hold 22.67%, and Ratio Oil Exploration owns the rest.
