Japan: June spot LNG price at USD 7.6 per mmBtu

Japan’s price of spot liquefied natural gas contracted in June averaged US$7.6 per mmBtu on DES basis, same as in April, according to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI).

METI did not release its monthly spot LNG price data in May as there were not enough trades.

The average price of spot LNG imported into Japan that arrived in June was at 7.6 USD/MMBtu, according to METI.

Only spot LNG cargoes are taken into account in this assessment, excluding short, medium and long-term contract cargoes, as well as those linked to a particular price index.
