Japan: Utilities September LNG Usage Climbs YoY

The ten regional electric power companies in Japan consumed 4.5 million tonnes of LNG in September, a rise of 3.2 percent compared with 4.36 million tonnes a year earlier, according to the Federation of Electric Power Companies of Japan (FEPC).

The power companies received 4,51 million tonnes of LNG in September, down 0.1 percent on year.

The companies consumed 5.09 million tonnes of LNG in August.

Power companies account for two-thirds of total Japanese LNG imports.
