KBR wins Woodfibre LNG FEED contract

LNG engineer KBR said on Monday it has been awarded a contract for front-end engineering and design (FEED) for the Woodfibre liquefied natural gas project in Squamish, British Columbia.

Under the contract, KBR will provide FEED service for the proposed 2.1 mtpa liquefaction plant and export facility, the company said in a statement.

Works include FEED optimization, pre-FEED, FEED, and development of a fixed price offer for engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services,

It was earlier today reported that Woodfibre LNG project has received the environmental approval from the federal government.

The 2.1 mtpa plant will also include a 250,000 cbm storage tank and export infrastructure with three to four ships expected to load at the facility each month.

Canada’s Woodfibre LNG is a subsidiary of Pacific Oil & Gas Limited, which is part of the Singapore-based RGE group of companies.
