LNG cargo from Peru sets course for Spain

Peru’s only liquefaction and export facility at Pampa Melchorita has recently dispatched a cargo of liquefied natural gas to Spain.

According to the shipping data released by the state-owned Perupetro, the 2006-built 145,000 cbm Methane Lydon Volney LNG carrier departed from the plant on April 13.

This is the first time the GasLog-owned LNG carrier loaded at Peru’s liquefaction plant.

The exact destination of the vessel has not been revealed, although, out of the last three cargoes, one has been delivered to the Cartagena LNG terminal, one to Bilbao LNG terminal with the third on course to unload at the same facility on April 22, to shipping data reveals.

With the latest cargo, Peru’s 4.45 mtpa LNG export plant at Pampa Melchorita dispatched 319 cargoes in total since the start of operations in June 2010.
