Perth-based LNG Limited on Monday said its U.S. unit, Magnolia LNG has extended the validity period of its engineering, procurement, and construction contract signed with KSJV, through June 30, 2017.
Magnolia LNG and KSJV, a KBR – SKE&C joint venture lead by KBR, in April 2016 extended their original binding lump sum turnkey EPC contract for four LNG trains and associated facilities until 31 December 2016, with a subsequent interim extension to 31 January 2017.
This current extension agreement maintains validity for a further six months, inclusive of January 2017, to June 30, 2017, LNG Limited said in its statement.
Speaking of the extension, LNGL managing director and CEO, Greg Vesey said, “We continue to work closely with key contractors and suppliers such as KSJV to maintain momentum on the Magnolia LNG project as we continue our marketing efforts.”
LNG Limited’s Magnolia LNG project adjacent to the Calcasieu Ship Channel in the Lake Charles District, Louisiana, includes the development of four LNG production trains of 2 mtpa each.
