Commenting on the relocation, Smith said, “Over the last few years, Singapore has established itself as the regional hub for LNG in Asia.”

He also added that the LNG industry in the region is increasing its interest in developing floating solutions.

Simon Currie, global head of energy, Norton Rose Fulbright added that the energy markets of the Asia-Pacific region are of critical importance to the global economy, with Singapore playing a role of a trading hub.
