NYK signs time charter contract for LNG carrier

NYK signs time charter contract for LNG carrier with Mitsui

NYK recently concluded a time-charter contract with Mitsui & Co. for an LNG carrier for the Cameron liquefaction project based in the U.S. state of Louisiana. 


The ship will be delivered in 2018 and assigned to transport this project’s LNG for a maximum of 25 years, NYK said in a statement.

The new vessel will be owned by an NYK unit, Tea Tree Shipping, and an NYK Group company will be responsible for ship management.
