Peru ships LNG to France

Peru’s only liquefaction plant at Pampa Melchorita has shipped its 280th cargo of the chilled gas since the start of operations in 2010.

Sovcomflot’s newbuild carrier, SCF Mitre, with a load capacity of 170,200 cbm, departed from the LNG export plant on August 6.

Perupetro said the vessel is on its way to France, without revealing at which terminal the LNG will be offloaded.

The SCF Mitre, which was delivered by STX Offshore & Shipbuilding in January this year,  is on a long-term charter contract with Royal Dutch Shell.
