Picture of the day: thousands of workers at GLNG site

Bechtel Gladstone posted an image of thousands of workers in yellow hi-vis walking along the GLNG site’s main haul road on Friday.

The mass evacuation exercise was an important safety measure to test the project’s preparedness for the introduction of first gas onto site, which will occur in the next few months,” Bechtel said.

The US$18.5 billion Santos GLNG project on Curtis Island is progressing well and it remains on track for first LNG in 2015.
