REN’s Sines LNG terminal located on Portugal’s Atlantic coast is scheduled to receive a cargo of the chilled fuel from Qatar next week.

According to the shipping data issued by the Port of Sines, the Fraiha LNG carrier with a cargo capacity of 210,152 cubic meters is scheduled to deliver the cargo on August 10.

The marine data provider VesselsValue, shows that the vessel departed Qatar’s Ras Laffan port on July 20 and is currently heading the Suez Canal.

Portugal’s only LNG import facility in Sines port has a nominal sendout capacity of 600,000 cubic meters per hour (5.26 bcm per year), with a peak capacity of 900,000 cubic meters per hour.

Portugal mostly imports LNG from Nigeria, Algeria and Qatar.
