Qatargas sells commissioning LNG cargo to Pakistan

Qatargas sells commissioning LNG cargo to PSO

Qatargas confirmed it sold its first cargo of LNG to Pakistan State Oil Company.

The LNG cargo was sold on a free-on-board basis and loaded at Ras Laffan Port on to the LNG vessel Exquisite, owned by Excelerate Energy, on 21 March 2015, the company said in a statement.

The cargo was secured to commission the Exquisite, which became the floating storage and regasification unit moored in Port Qassim, Pakistan as part of the Elengy LNG terminal which is the first Pakistan import terminal.

This is the first LNG agreement between Qatar and Pakistan, and the first ever LNG import deal for any entity in Pakistan, the statement said.

To date, Qatargas has helped commission 14 LNG terminals across the Americas, Europe and Asia.
