Sempra LNG unit looking for re-exports permit extension

Sempra LNG unit looking for exports permit extension

Sempra LNG Marketing, a unit of Sempra Energy, submitted an application for an authorization to export foreign-sourced liquefied natural gas over a two-year period commencing on February 1, 2015.

Sempra currently has blanket authorization to export foreign-sourced LNG that will expire in January 31, 2015.

The company is requesting the new blanket authorization permiting it to continue to export a cumulative total of 250 billion cubic feet of foreign-sourced LNG to countries with which trade is not prohibited by United States law or policy from its Cameron LNG terminal in Cameron Parish, Lousiana.

Sempra LNG Marketing current blanket authorization allows it to import LNG from various international sources by vessel in an amount up to the equivalent of 800 bcf of gas.
