Socar talks cooperation with Inpex of Japan

Azerbaijan’s state-owned oil company Socar said it discussed joint projects with Japanese LNG player Inpex on Thursday.

Socar’s delegation led by its President Rovnag Abdullayev is currently in Japan as part of a visit aimed at holding bilateral meetings with Japanese companies.

Within the visit, Abdullayev met with Toshiaki Kitamura, President of Inpex.

The negotiations included Inpex’ participation in Socar’s projects, including the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli project, and possible cooperation prospects in local and foreign projects, Socar said in a statement released on Thursday.
