Tempo wins Gorgon LNG job
Mining and energy sector services company Tempo Australia said it has been awarded a subcontract on the Chevron-operated Gorgon project on Barrow Island, Western Australia.
Under the subcontract, Tempo will provide temporary craft labour for construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning services to the mechanical, electrical and instrumentation contractor on the project, the company said in a statement.
Tempo will provide personnel to support the ME&I scope on a call-off basis and has the potential to create in excess of 100 new local jobs, according to the statement.
The Gorgon project is a joint venture between the Australian subsidiaries of Chevron (47.3 percent), ExxonMobil (25 percent), Shell (25 percent), Osaka Gas (1.25 percent), Tokyo Gas (1 percent) and Chubu Electric Power (0.417 percent).
