Cheniere amends Corpus Christi LNG deal with Bechtel

The US LNG export player Cheniere said it’s unit Corpus Christi Liquefaction signed a $2.36 billion amended turnkey deal for with Bechtel for Stage 2 of the Corpus Christi LNG facility on the U.S. Gulf Coast.

World’s largest LNG shippers upbeat about 2018 as global trade continues to grow

The global liquefied natural gas (LNG) trade has continued to grow in 2017 boosted by additional volumes from Australia and the US and a rise in demand for the fuel in Asia, most notably in China. New production volumes also helped to ease the oversupply of tonnage in the LNG shipping market that itself witnessed a record-breaking year.

Cameron LNG reaches settlement deal with project contractor

Sempra LNG & Midstream said that Cameron LNG has reached a settlement agreement with its contractor, CCJV, for the construction of the liquefaction project in Hackberry, Louisiana.

McDermott, CB&I agree $6 bln combination

Two engineering specialists McDermott and CB&I have agreed to combine in an all-stock transaction valued at $6 billion, to create an onshore-offshore engineering, procurement, construction and installation service company.

Canada’s first LNG shipment reaches China

Canada’s first LNG shipment from British Columbia arrived at its destination in China last week, FortisBC said.
