Shell’s Prelude FLNG kicks off production

Shell’s giant Prelude floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) facility located offshore Western Australia has started production on Tuesday, December 25.

Australian LNG player Woodside has awarded a contract to Bechtel to undertake front-end engineering design (FEED) for the Pluto train 2 project located north-west of Karratha, Western Australia.

Belgium’s Exmar, the Nicolas Saverys-led shipowner, said its Caribbean FLNG, to be renamed Tango FLNG, departed China and set course for Argentina.

Keppel scores ice-class LNG bunkering vessel build

Keppel Offshore & Marine, through its unit, Keppel Singmarine, clinched contracts worth a combined value of about S$300 million ($218.9 million) that include the design and construction of an ice-class LNG bunker vessel.

GasLog orders new LNG pair at SHI as Cheniere exercises charter option

Monaco-based LNG shipper GasLog has ordered an LNG carrier pair at the South Korean Samsung Heavy Industries shipyard to serve newly agreed charter deals with Cheniere.
