Eni secures approval for Coral FLNG project in Mozambique

Italian energy giant Eni said on Wednesday that the Mozambique government had approved the plan of development for the company’s Coral FLNG project.

Cheniere ships first Sabine Pass LNG export cargo to Brazil’s Petrobras

Cheniere has on Wednesday shipped the long-awaited first cargo from its Sabine Pass liquefaction and export facility in Louisiana. This event also marks a new era in global LNG trade as the U.S. is set to become a net exporter of domestically sourced shale gas.

Souki, Houston form LNG export company

Former CEO of Cheniere Energy, Charif Souki and former COO and executive director of BG Group, Martin Houston joined forces in forming a new mid-scale natural gas liquefaction and export company called the Tellurian Investments.

Qatargas, Shell and Maersk join forces to develop LNG as marine fuel

Qatargas, the Maersk Group and Shell signed on Monday a memorandum of understanding to explore the development of LNG as a marine fuel in the Middle East region.

Sempra, Woodside pen Port Arthur LNG development deal

San Diego-based Sempra Energy said it has signed a deal with Australia’s Woodside to advance the development of the proposed Port Arthur liquefaction facility in Texas.
