REN-operated Sines LNG import terminal in Portugal has booked a couple of the chilled fuel, shipping data by the Port of Sines shows.

First of the two cargoes will be delivered on September 4, onboard the LNG Akwa Ibom tanker capable of transporting up to 141,000 cubic meters of the chilled fuel.

The vessel departed from the Nigeria LNG facility on Bonny Island and is currently sailing in the Central Atlantic, off Ivory Coast.

The second cargo is scheduled to arrive at the Sines LNG terminal on September 7. It is being transported aboard the 137,500-cbm LNG carrier Dukhan.

The vessel lifted a cargo at Qatar’s Ras Laffan LNG complex and is currently sailing in the Gulf Aden off the coast of Yemen.

Sines LNG terminal, located on Portugal’s Atlantic coast, has a nominal send out capacity of 600,000 cubic meters per hour (5.26 bcm per year), with a peak capacity of 900,000 cubic meters per hour.
