Venture Global picks GE tech for its Louisiana LNG plants

Venture Global LNG picked GE Oil & Gas as a partner to provide technology solutions for its LNG export facilities under development in Louisiana.

Under the agreement, GE Oil & Gas will deliver a comprehensive power, pretreatment and LNG liquefaction system, Venture Global said in its statement on Tuesday.

The agreement provides for the delivery of a complete LNG process system with defined schedule, price and performance standards.

Mike Sabel and Bob Pender, Venture Global LNG co-CEOs, jointly said this transaction is will materially reduce the project costs and risks and accelerate construction schedules.

Venture Global LNG, a U.S. based LNG export company, is developing both the 10 mtpa Venture Global Calcasieu Pass facility located at the intersection of the Calcasieu ship channel and the Gulf of Mexico, and the 20 mtpa Venture Global Plaquemines LNG facility in Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana.
