Australia’s Woodside Petroleum has extended the maintenance period at the Pluto LNG facility following issues on restart.

The company said on Tuesday that the mixed refrigerant compressor has experienced vibration at restart following the completion of the planned turnaround.

As a result, further activities extending the turnaround have commenced to achieve the restart of production, targeted for the end of June 2019.

Woodside has made arrangements to meet obligations to its customers, including the purchase of third party cargoes.

Due to the turnaround extension, Woodside’s 2019 production is expected to be at the lower end of the 88 – 94 MMboe guidance range.
