Wilhelmsen Ship Management (WSM) has been contracted by Pardus Energy to provide management services for its newbuild FSRU.

The floating storage and regasification unit is currently under construction at the Hyundai Heavy Industry shipyard in South Korea.

The floating storage and regasification unit will be managed by WSM’s Malaysian unit, the company noted in its statement.

Carl Schou, CEO and president of Wilhelmsen Ship Management noted that the company expects further growth in the FSRU segment “driven by the positive sentiment.”

The FSRU capable of storing 170,000 cubic meters of the chilled fuel has been named Turquoise.
